You Are Worthy Of A Blessed Business

The Common Misconception

I had the opportunity participated in an online Christian Women’s Business Expo and I met a woman who opened my eyes to a new perspective on business. As people of faith, we tend to use the excuse of humility and “God’s Will” as a reason to why our businesses are not thriving the way that we secretly would like them to. Religious culture has taught us that money is the root of all evil, when in fact, the scripture says that it is the “love of money” that is the root of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). This misquote has created the common misconception that Christians should not have a lot of money, so we settle for less than what our hard work and skills are worth.

God Desires Your Business To Prosper

No, money is not our focus or our ultimate goal, but it is a resource that God wants to provide in order for you to help fulfill His will on earth. God has called us to do great things during our time on earth and He can do them through our businesses. Your business is after all a product of a vision God has placed in your heart to fulfill a need; it is your ministry. The truth is, God wants us to live an abundant life here and He wants to bless us that we may be a blessing to His people (2 Corinthians 9:10). In order for this to happen, we are going to have to see our value and know our worth.

The young lady that I met at the Christian Women’s Business Expo that helped to open my eyes to the truth of God’s desire for my business to prosper was Leah Mason-Virgin. She offers Blessed Christian Business Success & Life Coaching and you can learn more about her at burstingwithblessings.com. During her session, she provided meaningful truths about how we should see ourselves as God’s kingdom citizens, His desire for us to have a prosperous business and backed it up with scriptural references. Listening and talking with Mrs. Leah, inspired me to create a list of declarations of my own (some of which I adopted from her speech) that have helped me to stay encouraged and confident in my business.

Download my free list of daily affirmations for your business and feel free to add more to the list.
