DassieWay Productions LLC. is a new non-profit organization founded to help troubled and underprivileged youth and families by offering mentorship, after-school activities, connections to resources and motivational speaking. Their primary goal is to inspire hope and keep troubled youth out of the court system; offering better resolutions to their families and getting to the root of the problem.
The founder of DassieWay Productions needed a website that she could use to market the organization, reach families that will need their services. She also wanted to create a professional quality online presence that would help establish credibility and help in the process of receiving grants to operate the non-profit.
We began the project by conducted a brand strategy session with the client to define the brand, the goals and the target audience. This allowed us to develop a design brief that would serve as a guide to help maintain the focus of the project and determine the appropriate design direction.
With all of the information collected from the strategy session, we were able to create a tagline and a foundation for focused copy. Once the design direction was established, we designed wireframes and mockups to establish the layout, look and feel of the website.
We developed a one-page scroll site that would provide the necessary information and point of contact. The client wanted to start small but wanted to be prepared for future expansion. We built the website on WordPress, which is a very flexible platform that will allow for easy updates and expansion. The client wanted to share an extensive amount of information so we incorporated info tabs and a video to maintain a clean layout. We also included a popup for donations and a custom contact form.
